Family Hurt

Family Hurt is a real thing that many of us deal with daily or have dealt with in the past.  Often we try to be the best person we can be and love our family and friends unconditionally.  However, sometimes this is not possible. Facing reality can be a hard pill to swollow. Love them as they are or move on or just love from a distance. Often the behavior of others has nothing to do with you except that you might know their secrets or some other insecurity that has nothing to do with you. Its okay not to be liked, but let’s be fair about it, don’t create false narratives that benefit you and show others in a negative light. In families, people mask /overlook Domestic Violence, child abuse,  sexual abuse, drug usage/drug addiction, adultery, crimes of passion, greed, stealing property, bullying, and so on.

It’s not the end of the World when dealing with family hurt, seek professional help if possible.  Just because the people we are connected to through blood  or love do not show up for you, lIfe is not over……create your own family and surround yourself with people who want to be in your life.  Self Care begins with you identifying your needs and taking care of you.
