A Healthy Sex Life after 50 11/18/21

What happens to sex after 50?  It depends on the individuals although one might believe that a great decrease happens well, actually nothing happens.   Having a healthy sex life is up to the individuals in the relationship, friendship, sexship.  As individuals we get caught up in societies given guidelines that we forget that inorder to have a healthy sexual relationship or any kind of relatinship with your partner you have to know that sex involes more than the action.  We often ask for romance….What does romance look like to you?  Flowers, that's always the go too.  If you had to make a choice what are some of the things that you would pick?  What are some of the things that lead to arousal for you, do you even know?  Is a hot bath after a long day good enough for you or do you need a monetary gift?    Yes, of course I want it all!!!!!  However, I chose to stay on the course I'm on now and keep our communication open. We both received the prize (each other) laughing out loud and as a result of communication (not a walk in the park) reserving the right not to speak in a manner we don't want to be spoken too and his favorite gender roles has helped us keep a healthy sexual relationship going.   We are both putting the work in to keep us happy.   Our Blended family consists of  Adult children that will always need guidance but run their own homes.….It might not work for many but it works for us because a relationship is between two people.  The most important part of any relationship including the sexual part is between the two people in the relationship( keep your mothers and fathers  including me out of your relationship, privacy in your relationship is key (I will elaborate more in a future post), there are somethings in a relationship that should stay between you and your partner.  Through  communication and keeping others out of your relationship unless, (health issues arise ) a healthy enjoyable sexual relationship can be sustained after you turn 50.  What you put in is what you will get out. A few tips that have helped us over the last 11 years: communication, understanding your partner's needs as he or she should understand your needs.

Can you share some of your experiences that have helped in your relationship?
