The four Types of love: Some are Healthy, Some are not

-eros: erotic, passionate love.

-Phillia: love of friends and equals.

-Storge: love of parents for children.

-Agape: love of mankind

As adults, we most likely look for and desire erotic, passionate love, are we prepared to receive what we desire.  Do we even know where to begin?  It all begins with self-love, we have to love ourselves before we require someone else to give us what we don't even give ourselves.   As individuals, we put pressure on others to do the things that we are not willing or might not even be aware of.  As a 56 year old women I had to learn how to love myself.  If asked on any given day I would define my love of myself, I’ve worked hard, obtained a Higher Education, raised a family, and loved my man, family members, and friends.   Through disappointments, I maintained, headstrong but gave love freely to others without loving myself.  Being a caregiver was the love language that kept me full.    Today I have expectations of myself, taking care of myself and knowing my worth.  I can truly say the love I desire i'm prepared to give.  Self-awareness is the only tool needed and preparation is required.  We go into adulthood without a clue….fairytales, books, movies, and Television shows.    So I ask again, are you prepared for the love you require?  Take a moment and please share some of your experience in the event it can help others.
