I’m a COVID-19 Long Hauler
I’m a COVID-19 long Hauler
Covid -19 long hauler as defined by www.health.harvard.edu is defined as people who have not fully recovered from Covid-19 weeks or even months after first experiencing symptoms. Some long haulers experience continuous symptoms for weeks or months. While others feel better for weeks, then relapse with old or new symptoms. As for me unknowingly I became symptomatic the week of 12/19 I just lost interest in the things I love to do, reading, listening to my Audio Books, cooking, eating, my Blog. I wasn’t paying attention to my body, I was tired but due to taking Celecoxib and pain meds for my body aches,I thought it was the meds. I had a visit with my Spine surgeon and complained about pain medications being too strong because my entire body was aching but the prescribed medications were too strong and making me weak and out of it. On 12/26/21 my household went to get tested for Covid. 1 out of 3 tested positive but my daughter and I had all the symptoms plus a low-grade fever but tested negative. Coming back home laying around not feeling well, I can't explain the feelings. My good Girlfriend walked me through the first few weeks and is still doing so. I got all the recommended over-the-counter medications. Plus a smart WiFi wireless essential oil Aromatherapy Diffuser & Humidifier and peppermint oil. As most of you already know, I've been on my own personal wellness journey. I’m counting my blessings because I’ve had High Blood pressure for over 25 years and was morbidly obsessed ( currently I'm a little overweight). I'm thankful for My very own Covid-19 coach and my countless friends and family members keeping me in their prayers have been a blessing. I've woken up to several grocery deliveries from my oldest daughter. Sea Moss is my best friend along with my other vitamins. On 12/28/21 I went to Urgent Care and was re-tested for Covid, the flu, pneumonia, an upper respiratory infection. The Rapid test came back negative but the PCR came back positive days later. My lungs were clear but I continued to have a low-grade fever. I Continue to test positive for Covid. I’m on my second round of antibiotics because I have an ongoing headache and earache with a low-grade fever that comes and goes. My body is still weak and I get a crazy sweat that starts at the crown of my head. I feel like at times my brain is being attacked, it begins with an extreme sweat attack and the crown of my head gets filled with sweat, I can't find an answer for that. These are just some of the things that I’ve been experiencing. The only good thing is I’m maintaining good blood pressure numbers. The most important part of my Covid Journey is that I'm fully vaccinated, I guess. I pray for those that are not vaccinated if they have experienced what I’m going through to the 10th power. I took the vaccination kicking and screaming but i'm happy that I did, I guess. As of today 1/20/22 I'm still Positive for Covid with symptoms and a low-grade fever that comes and goes, body aches, lack of energy, hair loss, headache, and earache. I wake up with a burst of energy that only lasts up to 3 hours and then I'm out again. This is a list of things I've been experiencing: Fatigue, shortness of breath, cough, fever, headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, internal itching throughout my body, mood change, change in taste and smell. The reason I say I guess is that when the vaccination first came out it was told to the American people if we take the vaccination we won’t get COVID, now they are saying if we get the vaccination we will have milder symptoms, I’m 4 weeks in still having major symptoms and fully vaccinated, testing positive but counting my blessings that I haven't risen to the point of hospitalization. Im not for or against the vaccination, just wondering why I continue to test positive and have symptoms while being fully vaccinated.
If any of you have had COVID for over 3 weeks can you please share some of your experiences?
