Self- Soothing

Self-soothing is a way in which we treat ourselves to feelings of betterment so that we can move forward, past any negativity or pain.  We learn how to self-soothe from the moment we enter the world  Some as our first acknowledgments of our mental feelings and our physical bodies occur as young as a newborn as defined by  @claritychi.com . Some of the self-soothing things I do for myself, (Read, listen to music, cook, and overeat).  We spend time consciously and non consciously doing things for ourselves that we would consider self-soothing.  Please share some examples of what you do to self-sooth.
